Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our Moorabbin manufacturing site. Reporting to the General Manager Food, Health & Personal Care, you will be responsible for driving performance across safety, quality, service, cost, people, and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll inspire high-performing teams, build a strong site culture, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, reliability, and customer outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver strong operational performance across safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost targets.
- Drive DIFOT performance through effective production planning, inventory management, and S&OP execution.
- Improve plant reliability, efficiency, and uptime through TPM, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage site financial performance, including budgets, forecasting and cost centre accountability.
- Identifying and delivering sustainable cost reduction and capital investment opportunities to support long-term growth.
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Lead operational and cultural transformation through data-driven decision-making, Lean methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration.
About you
You're an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to bring out the best in people, processes, and performance.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven leadership experience in FMCG, plastic, packaging or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong commercial acumen, including budget and cost centre accountability.
- The ability to analyse data, solve problems and make informed business decisions.
- Experience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Demonstrated success delivering operational improvements, capital projects, and business transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role.
- Proven success leading Lean, TPM or Operational Excellence programs.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and sustainable performance improvements.
