If you’re an energetic Business Development Manager who thrives on driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and influencing industry trends, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
As a BDM for Pact Packaging, you’ll develop and realise sustainable sales opportunities, perpetually finding unique ways to diversify the customer base utilising existing and newly developed products where warranted. In this role, you will develop markets and grow revenue at profitable margins as well as execute initiatives at a national level aligned to the products or market categories assigned. You are well known for your excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills,self-motivation, commercial acumen, critical thinking and a proven history of sustainable growth success.
About this opportunity
Reporting to Group General Manager Global Partnerships – PACT Group you will:
- Set goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
- Research, plan, and implement new target market initiatives
- Research prospective accounts in target markets
- Build and manage pipeline
- Pursue leads and moving them through the sales cycle
- Develop quotes and proposals for prospective clients
- Work to goals that are aligned to a successful delivery of the strategy
- Attend conferences and industry events
- Support in preparing the annual Sales budget (for new volume won)
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Drive growth with self-awareness and commitment to personal development
- Manage and making visible the opportunity pipeline
- Report on competitor activity
- Report on customers’ expectation of service standards and continue to develop the supplier partnership through collaboration and market intelligence
- Prepare and present detailed reporting and analysis on business activities, performance against targets and market and industry opportunities
- Be the customer "voice" within the business.
- Identify Sales training needs and participate in Sales training programs as required
- be detail oriented, commercially minded and have a methodological approach to systems and working environment.
Qualifications
Selling, Negotiation, commercial experience and solid communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of office products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
