About this opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager- Recycling Joint Ventures, as the Site Manager you will be responsible for the leadership and commercial management of this world class manufacturing plant based in Albury. Your previous experience will be key in creating business operations that continue to lead the circular economy and you are keenly aware of the levers available to you to replicate previous career success in this new manufacturing environment.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Demonstrate genuine safety-first leadership, leading by example to all employees. 
  • Build high performance and inclusive culture, ensuring best practice both commercially and operationally
  • Build and maintain strong personal relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring contractual compliance in service delivery to retain and grow
  • Manage production of quality food grade resin, complying to all relevant standards and requirements.
  • Position the business to achieve sustainable solid financial growth that meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets agreed with the EGM and set by the Board of the JV
  • Project managing cross functional teams
  • Full P&L management and accountability

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • 5-10 years in a Site Management position
  • Experience in Plastics manufacturing and/or recycling
  • Superior communication skills. A personable leader, with the ability to communicate and connect across all levels (from shop floor to Executive teams)
  • Experience in budget preparation, ownership and delivery
  • Experienced in driving cost improvement strategy
  • Demonstrated ability in leading high performing teams
  • Proven people leadership and change management experience with a collaborative and enabling approach

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science or Business
