Job Description

The Warehouse Stores Person is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials in two warehouses located in Mt Wellington, Auckland (1km apart). They maintain accurate inventory records, ensure items are stored safely, and assist with order fulfillment. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to support both warehouse operations.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure all orders are picked accurately and are trucks/containers are loaded on time every time.
  • Ensure all incoming freight is unloaded safely and accurately on time.
  • Ensure all racking and equipment is in good working order and fit for purpose.
  • Report any Health &Safety issues immediately.
  • Be a Health &Safety champion.
  • Ensure stock is at expected levels & completed to schedule.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Provide coverage for the Warehouse Supervisor if and when required.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Experience in Warehouse Operations 2-3 years
  • Understanding of Health, Safety & Environment requirements.
  • Forklift/Reach /Counterbalance license.
  • Be physically fit – frequent heavy lifting of up to 25kg, container loading and unloading.
  • Sound computer knowledge and Microsoft office experience.

Qualifications - Desirable

  • Formal training in Warehouse operations
  • Awareness of AS/NZ ISO 9000 Standard
  • SAP experience
  • MPI – AP Certificate
  • DG – Certificate (Approved Handlers)
