About the Role:

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter who thrives on variety. No two days will be same as you attend to the repairs and maintenance across a range of equipment in two factories located in Penrose & Avondale. This role will also attract someone who enjoys undertaking projects where you can really take charge and make your mark.

In this self-managing role you will work an average of 40 hours per week, from time to time, by request; overtime may be required, as with the seasonal or project requirement of the company. Flexibility to work additional hours as required to meet changes in demand would be advantageous.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • At least 5 years hands on experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience in plant maintenance, preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance
  • A proactive attitude to make sure production experience minimal downtime due to maintenance requirements.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills in mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrate safe working practices and application in a manufacturing environment.
  • A Relevant Trade Qualification is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent in basic computer skills
