Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for coordinating with suppliers and customer day-to-day shipments which includes but not limited to, quoting, booking loads in Mercury Gate TMS, creating BOL’s, tracking and resolving issues.
Qualifications
Quoting shipments for client for projects
Creates BOL’s for new shipments and sends to supplier to ship
Tenders loads in Mercury Gate TMS to Carriers
Tracks pick-up, in-transit and delivery of shipments
High level of professionalism when dealing with customer and suppliers
High attention to detail and able to ask appropriate questions to give accurate quotes
Resolves issues with misrouted freight / critical freight
Can escalate to Operations Manager when there are critical issues
Supports will billing discrepancies and updates system as necessary
Other duties as required and assigned
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Transportation Management Systems
PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Some experience in transportation, LTL preferred
High level of professionalism, high attention to detail, task oriented
