Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator Position will assist the Account Manager in the daily operations of an account, or group of accounts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling pickups through TA’s TMS, tracking shipments, and communicating with carriers and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- The Logistics Coordinator Position is the main point of contact to the carrier and suppliers for day to day business
- Schedule pickups and track shipments to ensure on-time deliveries
- Work with Account Manager to determine best solution for tasks outside normal operations.
- Utilize tools including TMS and rating system to carry out daily tasks
- Assist Account Manager in new account startup to ensure customer and internal requirements are achieved
- Assist Account Manager in preparing daily, weekly and monthly customer reports as defined by customer requirements
- Prepare “spot” quotes as requested by customers
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree Preferred
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Self-directed and good problem solving skills
- Must be detail oriented and can multi-task
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Microsoft Office Skills
- 1-3 years of minimum logistics experience
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual candidate's a plus
- Salary + Commissions
