Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, safety and detail-oriented Supervisor to join our high performing team of warehousing and logistics professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day SEP operation on 1st shift
  • Supervise the team and provide coaching to improve performance
  • Create employee schedules and coordinate needed coverage
  • Champion the 5S initiatives for the department
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have a high standard on good customer communication
  • Motivate team to improve daily metrics and quality of performance
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have a customer service attitude
  • Must be a people person with a focus on employee development and process improvement
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Must be well versed on a computer and have experience within Microsoft Office
  • Oracle experience is preferred
  • Outbound picking experience is essential
  • Receiving dock operations experience is a plus
  • Must be flexible with hours and be willing to come in an hour early to connect with 1st shift and stay an hour late to connect with 3rd shift as needed

A Successful Supervisor Leader:

  • Must consistently demonstrate the company’s Mission and Values.
  • Must become well versed in the SEP department, processes, and be able to mitigate / resolve customer issues
  • Must have strong and authentic soft skills, a culturally aware etiquette, a proven track record in accountability of teams, and the ability to coach while motivating teams
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, drivers, and other team members in person and on the telephone.
  • They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful warehouse team member must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Finally, they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • 2-3 years as a department supervisor or equivalent position combined with 3-5 years in the Warehousing / Logistics field.
  • Have receiving dock experience
  • Computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, WMS is preferred and a plus!
  • Familiar with strong continuous improvement standards and methodology and be willing to champion the 5s metrics for the SEP 2nd shift.
  • All team members must be able to lift 40lbs, twist, bend, walk, stand for extended periods of time, follow all safety protocol, and always look for ways to continuously improve.
