Talent Researcher / Sourcing Specialist – Clinical Trials

  • Full-time

Company Description

At Milestone One, we help clinical research happen where it matters most — at the sites where patients, investigators and clinical teams come together. We are an international organization dedicated to enabling high-quality clinical trials through strong partnerships with research sites and the people who make clinical research possible.

What makes us different is our people-first, entrepreneurial approach. We are building an organization where expertise matters, ideas are welcomed and people have the opportunity to make a visible impact. Our teams work internationally, across functions and markets, with a shared ambition to raise the standard of how clinical research is delivered.

Joining us means becoming part of a growing international organization with a meaningful purpose, a collaborative culture and the opportunity to shape how we work — not simply fit into an existing model.

    Job Description

We’re looking for a Talent Researcher / Sourcing Specialist to join our in-house Talent Acquisition team and become the person who knows where the talent is, who employs it, what roles they hold, and how the market is evolving. You will combine talent research, market mapping and proactive sourcing to help us understand and access specialized talent across the clinical trials industry.

If you enjoy digging into organizations, mapping teams, uncovering career paths and finding the right people before they ever apply for a job, this could be your next challenge.

    What you’ll do:

    • Map the clinical trials talent market across key countries, companies and functions.

    • Identify relevant CROs, SMOs, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, technology providers and other organizations that employ target talent.

    • Identify equivalent and transferable positions where job titles differ between companies.

    • Identify high-potential candidates within mapped companies and talent pools.

    • Conduct proactive searches using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, ATS databases, industry sources and other research tools.

    • Build targeted pipelines of both active and passive candidates.

    • Research candidate backgrounds, career progression, functional expertise and potential fit.

    • Develop creative sourcing strategies for niche and difficult-to-fill positions.

    • Partner with recruiters on candidate outreach and pipeline development.

    • Provide recruiters and hiring managers with insight into where relevant talent sits and how accessible the market is.

    • Produce talent-market reports and mapping exercises to support recruitment planning.

    Qualifications

    What we’re looking for:

    • Experience in talent research, sourcing, recruitment, talent intelligence, market research or a similar analytical role.
    • Experience working with specialized or international talent markets; experience in clinical trials, CRO, SMO, pharmaceutical or biotech environments is highly desirable.

    • Strong research and analytical skills — you enjoy investigating a market rather than simply searching for CVs.

    • Excellent knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter and advanced search techniques, including Boolean and X-ray search.

    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize large amounts of information into clear, actionable insights.

    • Strong written and verbal English.

    • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, ATS systems and recruitment analytics.

    • Proactive, curious and persistent approach to research.

    • Ability to work independently while partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers.

What will make you stand out:

    • Experience mapping specialized talent across multiple countries or regions.

    • Knowledge of the clinical research ecosystem and the major functions within clinical trials.

    • A genuine interest in understanding how the talent market works, not just where to find candidates.

    Why this role?

This is an opportunity to build something more strategic than a traditional sourcing function.

You will help us answer questions such as:

Which companies have the talent we need?
    Where are those people located?
    What positions do they hold?
How do organizations structure these teams?
Where are the strongest talent pools?
And how can we reach the right people before our competitors do?

Your research will directly shape our recruitment strategies and help us build a long-term talent intelligence capability across the clinical trials industry.

    Additional Information

If you are the kind of person who can spend an hour researching one company and come away knowing who does what, where the talent sits and how we could reach them, we want to hear from you.

Help us turn talent research into a competitive advantage.
