Job Description

We're looking for an in-house language professional dedicated to producing high-quality translations, providing interpreting support, and using their skills in an international setting.

This is a fixed-term, 12-month opportunity (maternity cover).

As an in-house translator, you will be expected to:

  • Translate clinical trial/ medical documentation as well as business correspondence and technical documents pertaining to the activities of company departments
  • Localize and customize translations to meet regulatory requirements
  • Edit, proofread, and review translated documents
  • Develop translation templates for routine/standard documentation
  • Act as an interdepartmental liaison in matters related to the editing and review of translated documents
  • Interpret at meetings/ conferences, if required

Qualifications

  • University degree in Foreign Languages (English Philology)/ Linguistics (Translation and/or Interpreting Studies is a plus)
  • C2 level in English and native Czech
  • Hands-on experience in English - Czech translation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use CAT tools
  • Attention to detail, ability to provide accurate and complete translations within set timeframes
  • Medical & healthcare translation experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in a second foreign language is a plus
  • Professional training and/ or certification in Translation is a plus
