Job Description

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for administering timely and compliant payroll processing using Paycom payroll service to guarantee bi-weekly distribution of multi-state payroll for 500+ US and Canadian employees between 3 payrolls.

  • Accurately process data for new hires, terminations, rate changes, position changes, etc.
  • Run and provide payroll reports to appropriate team members.
  • Assist with verification of employment requests
  • Participates actively and helps to lead payroll, 401(K) Workers Compensation and any other relevant HR audits.
  • Administer 401K plans and verify compliance
  • Assists Finance team in preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for local, state and federal agencies
  • Process garnishments and verify compliance is met with state and federal guidelines
  • Partner with HR and IT in aligning and implementing system requirements
  • Validate procedures to support current company policy as they relate to compensation
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly an annual reporting to federal, state and local tax authorities
  • Administer subcontractor timesheets and invoices
  • Troubleshoot and analyze payroll system functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist outside agencies with information requests
  • Completion of annual ACA and EEO1 reporting requirements.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Accounting, HRIS technology, business administration, or another related discipline required
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience with Payroll Administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing multiple deadlines in a time sensitive environment
  • Experience with Paycom Payroll Services, including report writing abilities, strongly preferred
  • Fidelity 401(k) experience preferred
  • In depth experience with Fair Labor Standards Act, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, EEO and other relevant federal regulations.
  • Strong understanding of Human Resources processes and terminology, payroll and benefit processes and procedures, including eligibility and enrollment rules.
  • Project Management experience and experience working in a global organization preferred
