RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead the migration of multiple legacy systems into a single J2EE web application
• Identify and manage dependencies and downstream impacts of the application to minimize adverse effects on other projects and / or programs
• Lead code reviews and allocation of development staff across new project development, defect management and production support
• Lead design sessions within the development team and serve as development point of contact for requirement analysis and estimation
• Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to manager any risks or issues associated with the development activities
• Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification
• Utilize and monitor internal performance monitoring for continuous improvement in code quality and delivery

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer/programmer with Java/ J2EE
• 3+yrs leading a team of developers
• Strong understanding of Spring, Spring MVC
• Web Services Experience (REST)
• Strong background working on projects using Agile methodologies
• Experience with TDD methodologies
• JPA or ORM experience
