Annual production of 340 million seedlings makes PRT the largest producer of containerized forest seedlings in North America. We produce trees for customers from British Columbia to Ontario and Michigan to Alabama to Oregon.

PRT is currently recruiting seasonal Nursery Workers to assist with seedling thinning and other nursery work. This engaging, high paced, physical position offers a safe work environment and an opportunity for a career that will make a positive change in the world.

  • Our PRT nurseries are vibrant and fun communities with employees who share a strong passion for the “green” nature of our business and doing their part in regenerating the forests of North America
  • We provide a supportive team structured environment with a strong safety culture
  • Hourly rates start at $17.77/hr for the training period, compensation then transfers to piece work with greater earning potential. Earning potential of $22.00 an hour or greater once training is complete!
  • Work is available early now to late June with an opportunity to join other projects
  • No experience required; full training provided

Qualifications

What you need for a position with PRT:

  • Energetic with attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Work is meticulous and requires good eyesight and manual dexterity
  • You will stand for lengthy periods of time, walking, repetitive lifting, (light to medium weight objects), and perform repetitive movements
  • Mostly indoor greenhouse work
  • Appropriate attire required
  • Reliable transportation is essential
