Job Description

We’re looking for a Business Controller who can act as a link between finance and commercial. Someone who can identify and improve performance throughout the organization based on operational and financial analysis. Someone who can initiate, develop, and communicate recommendations in an easy way to the rest of the organization.

Fear not. You don’t have to be a superhero (even though we’re partial to Marvel movies). But you do need at least three to five years’ experience as a Business or Operational Controller since we’ll be getting you involved in business-critical projects like business case modelling and product portfolio management.

Your role—if you accept this mission—is to act as the business partner of and advisor to the Business Line Director and you will be reporting to the Business Unit Controller based in Halmstad, Sweden. You’ll have all the usual duties of a Business Controller: managing a solid planning & control cycle, (re)shaping overhead, cost and capex controls, and identifying and improving performance throughout the organization. In other words, you won’t have time to get bored.

We work in the exciting world of industrial automation, so an appreciation of the high-tech would be great. More essential to us, however, is your ability to proactively support the various departments of a manufacturing company in making tactical and strategic decisions. 

Qualifications

You’d be great for this position if you have:

  • a bachelor’s degree in economics and/or finance or similar with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with finance business partnering and controlling;
  • excellent analytics capabilities in converting data and information into insights and recommendations, which add real value to the business;
  • strong Excel skills and a solid affinity with IT/BI tools;
  • a high degree of professional independence and flexibility;
  • excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.

Sound strategic judgement and strong analytical skills are much more important to us than your academic background.
