Job Description

Let’s be clear. We’re not looking for the perfect candidate (we don’t believe in unicorns, although we’re pretty convinced that UFOs exist). What we need is a Support Engineer who is keen to develop personally and professionally. Someone who wants to learn as much as possible at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, and computing. 

Sure, we’d like you to have some relevant experience, so you should have a vocational qualification in a field like electrical engineering or mechatronics. We’d also be happy if you know how to use tools such as soldering irons, multi-meters and oscilloscopes.

The job itself involves helping customers, partners and colleagues use and maintain any Procentec product or service. For example, you’d act as a knowledge base for the Sales, Marketing and R&D departments when they have common technical questions. You’d also assist in setting up products and demos at customers’ premises and international trade fairs. 

Of course, you won’t be expected to do this and more without any guidance since we’re decent folk and we remember what it’s like when we launched our own careers. We’ll give you all the training you need to become a fully paid-up member of the team. After an induction period of 6-12 months, you’ll be ready to go out and support our customers around the world. 

But remember, you will never know when to go home because we leave, when problems are solved.

Qualifications

You’d be great for this position if, in addition to those geeky essentials, you:

  • have good spoken and written command of English; 
  • are prepared to master your skills in industrial automation;
  • understand the importance of excellent customer service;
  • are proactive, flexible and focused on collaboration;
  • are ambitious and unafraid of hard work.

A commitment to learning and fitting in is much more important to us than your technical qualifications…
