  • Full-time

Company Description

PROCENTEC, a member of the HMS Group, is a company that supply innovative solutions, training and consultancy to the Industrial Automation Market. Our primary focus is the development and manufacturing of automation products for PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Industrial Ethernet and Ethernet/IP.

As a company, we believe in network stability and therefore keep challenging ourselves to find the best, easy to use solutions that help reduce downtime and create ease of mind for our users.

Some of our products are the most recognised solutions on the Market today. ProfiTrace, our mobile troubleshooting and maintenance tool has established itself as one of the most pioneering, yet essential tools available to engineers. In contrast our robust ProfiHub has, over the last decade, established itself as the go-to solution for ensuring a reliable network infrastructure. The combination of these products within our ComBricks solution has seen PROCENTEC become the primary manufacturer of network components with the integrated capability for remote monitoring and remote asset-management.

Our training facility, the PROCENTEC Academy, has certified over 4000 engineers to implement and maintain their PROFIBUS and PROFINET networks to the highest standards available.

The PROCENTEC Competence Centre has established itself as the leading consultancy on PROFIBUS and PROFINET projects worldwide, advising on architecture, engineering, training and commissioning. Once a network is commissioned, we have experts available 24/7,  to answer questions with maintenance or help troubleshooting a problem.

Job Description

Reckon you can separate essential ideas from flops and losers?

Developing a product portfolio for a company that makes some of the most recognised solutions in its market, including cool stuff like cybersecurity, is a fantastic way to grow your business skills. If you’re looking for a career that combines strategy, vision and influence, read on.

About you and the job

Let’s be clear. We’re not looking for the perfect candidate (we don’t believe in unicorns, although we’re pretty convinced that UFOs exist). What we need is a Junior Product Manager who is keen to develop personally and professionally. Someone who’s willing to champion the needs of our clients and show strong leadership.

Sure, it would be nice if you have some relevant experience, especially in technical informatics, continuous integration and automatic testing. We’d also be happy if you have a commercial or technical degree and a basic knowledge of industrial automation and software development. Plus, you need to be fluent in English as we’re a global business.

More essential to us is your ability to evaluate and communicate. Much of your time will be spent working closely with clients, anticipating their needs and generating ideas. You’ll also be learning the ins and outs of a product family, analysing our market, tracking trends, and checking out the competition. Basically, you’d be aligning different stakeholders around a single vision (which isn’t always easy, but it is incredibly satisfying when you pull it off).

Qualifications

You’d be great for this position if you can:

  • identify priorities, suggest improvements and see things through to the end;
  • convey ideas to technical and commercial colleagues (two vastly different animals);
  • demonstrate user empathy and interact constantly with colleagues and clients;
  • organize your work, carry out in-depth research and meet deadlines;
  • demonstrate a genuine passion for innovative technologies and analytical tools.

A commitment to learning a ton of product management skills and a drive to succeed is much more important to us than your qualifications!

Additional Information

What will you get from us in return for all this awesomeness? A chance to work with cross-functional teams in a truly international setting; mentoring and a clear path to progression; an innovative and client focused CTO (he forced us to put that last bit in). You’ll also get:

  •  investment in your ongoing education, including professional certifications;
  • comprehensive training in product lifecycle management, sales, marketing & strategy;
  • great work life balance by working remote as well as in the office with your awesome colleagues;
  • a workspace in Delft, home of blue pottery and a lively historic centre.

Of course, we’re not all work and no play because that would make us incredibly boring. So, when we’re not creating unique and easy-to-use solutions for all kinds of vital industries, you can find us supporting our local pub on Friday nights, putting on summer BBQs, and taking part in the annual Rotterdam Marathon. Participation in extra-curricular activities is always voluntary but enjoying your job (most of the time) is compulsory at Procentec.
