Job Description
Job Summary:
The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management in supporting all business departments and locations. This position carries out responsibilities and projects in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
Responsibilities:
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
Assist in development and implementation of human resource policie Provides customer service and support to employees and managers on HR related topics and issues.
Supports and performs benefits administration including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
Executes all onboarding related processes and communications working in partnership with Onboarding Specialist, Marketing, Senior Management, Finance and Hiring Managers.
Assists with recruitment including posting positions, participating in selection and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS, I9 system and enrollments.
Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
Assists with processing of terminations and off boarding.
Monitors the performance review program.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, county, and city regulations concerning employment.
Creates and maintains employee files and records and compiles reports from the HRIS and other HR systems.
Reviews department mail and distributes company documents to the appropriate teams or employees, and performs other administrative functions.
Able to comply with the policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) and ADP
At least 3 years prior Human Resources experience
Ability to deliver effective results
Sound judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Excellent service skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Timely communication and response times according to department standards
