Job Description

Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices up for payment into AMB-Accounting Software System.
Review and process employee expense reports.
Complete and process check requests received daily.
Complete and process fulfillment invoices, which are processed at loan level.
Prepare and process various payment methods, checks, ACH, electronic payments.
Review and verify vendor payments with invoices and check requests
For checks – sort and prepare for distribution or mailing.
Maintain vendor files and records, including obtaining updated W-9 information.
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
Research and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies.
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
Work with internal customers to verify/clarify expenses.
Assist with month end closings.
Comply with Accounting procedures.
Able to comply with the policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Knowledge of Accounts Payable
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
Knowledge of relevant accounting software
Proficient in data entry and management
One (1) to Three (3) years prior Accounts Payable and General Accounting experience
Experience in the mortgage industry preferred
Ability to deliver effective results
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automotive insurance
Sound judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Excellent service skills
Timely communication and response times according to department standards
