Are you passionate about maintaining the reliability and performance of mission-critical, large-scale infrastructure? We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Oracle DB to join our Infrastructure team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate goes beyond standard database administration—you are a holistic SRE who brings deep expertise in Oracle DB with Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC), along with extensive experience in managing large-scale, on-premises datacenter infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring database reliability, high availability, performance tuning, automation, and overall infrastructure scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, and optimize large-scale Oracle Database environments, including hands-on operational management of Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) platforms.

• Serve as an SRE focused on total system reliability, high availability, fault tolerance, capacity planning, and incident response across on-premises datacenter environments.

• Implement site reliability best practices, IT operations, monitoring, alerting, and automated failover mechanisms to maintain always-up, always-available database and infrastructure services.

• Automate routine administrative tasks, maintenance procedures, and deployment pipelines using scripting and configuration management tools.

• Manage and optimize relational databases, with additional hands-on experience or working knowledge of MySQL (or MariaDB/Percona) setups.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex infrastructure, OS, storage, networking, and database issues across on-prem datacenter environments.

• Participate actively in on-call rotation schedules, incident resolution, and post-mortem analysis to continuously improve platform resilience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 4 to 8 Years of hands-on experience in Database Administration and Site Reliability Engineering for large-scale enterprise environments.

• Core Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Oracle DB administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and operational management of ExaCC (Exadata Cloud@Customer).

• On-Prem Datacenter & Infrastructure: Strong experience in managing infrastructure within on-premises datacenter environments, including system-level understanding of compute, storage, and underlying hardware infrastructure.

• Linux & System Administration: Strong foundation in Linux/Unix operating systems, system administration, kernel parameter tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Networking Knowledge: Practical understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.

• Work Location & Setup: Must be willing to work full-time from our Bengaluru office (Work from Office is mandatory).

Good to have:

• Working experience with MySQL / MariaDB / Percona relational database engines.

• Experience with automated configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, or Chef).

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience in disaster recovery planning, multi-datacenter replication, and high-availability architecture design.
