PETA Asia is dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. We operate under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment. PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in factory farms, laboratories, the clothing trade, and the entertainment industry.

PETA Asia works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.

• Communicate on behalf of the vice president regarding campaigns and celebrity involvement, as well as responding to inquiries (including taking calls, responding to e-mails, and editing and managing written correspondence) with discretion and independent judgment
• Organize and maintain the vice president’s projects and calendar
• Attend meetings with the vice president to take notes or dictation or to provide general assistance, when needed
• Follow up on projects initiated by the vice president and see them through to completion, including liaising with other PETA affiliates
• Perform and complete writing tasks (including draft letters, reports, and web text)
• Assist the vice president with completing in-house intranet forms
• Perform any other duties assigned by the vice president

• Can be based in Australia, the U.S. (Hawaii), or anywhere in Asia but Philippine citizen or resident based in the Philippines is preferred
• Excellent writing skills, especially in composing and editing letters
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proven ability to work independently
• Demonstrated exceptional verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Professional appearance
