Recruiting 2x Full Time (38hrs) Support Workers in Nottinghamshire
£8.72 per hour (As well as an hourly rate of pay you will receive £55 per sleep in)

We are currently recruiting 2 full time support workers to be based in Sutton on Trent.

The Person
Successful applicants will be:

• A car driver and willing to drive vehicles for work purposes will be essential
• Flexible to work a range of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, wakeful nights, sleep ins and weekends.
The Role
Community Support role for our service in Sutton on Trent to support 4 vulnerable adults in their own home. Experience of working with individuals on the autistic spectrum is a bonus. In this service you will be supporting 3 gentleman all with different needs. Gentleman A has autism and suffers with epilepsy and has severe learning disabilities and displays some challenging behaviours mainly around food and drink. Gentleman B has epilepsy, hydrocephalus and severe learning disabilities. Gentleman C has autism and severe learning disabilities.
The Gentlemen live in their own home in the Newark area and partakes in many activities both in the home and out in the community. These gentlemen can complete a few tasks independently but will require support with some of their more challenging tasks and activities and some personal care.
In this role, you will support individuals to develop skills in aspects of daily living such as cooking, cleaning and shopping. You will also help them to engage in a varied schedule of social activities and to be part of their community. This might include going for long walks, meals out, sensory rooms visiting families and day trips which may require long shifts.
This service has a minimum of 2 staff on a shift at a time and the shift patterns are mostly earlies, lates and a middle shift. This allows the service users to have their 1:1 support in addition to the shared support element. There is also waking night, who will be lone waking.
