Job Description

As we now look to scale, one of our next hires is for a Technical Services and Support Engineer, our first in fact. This is a critical role and will see you working closely with our sales, customer success and engineering teams to provide both pre-sales and post-sales support. We have a healthy sales pipeline, a great story to tell, true product-market fit and an engaged audience, so what we’re looking for is someone experience working with a startup or scale-up in a similar role, getting involved with presales by preparing POC’s for the team as well as being the “go-to” for all technical post-implementation issues and support queries and working with our customers to around adoption, best practice and more. 

So what will you be doing?

  • Understand business challenges to support the sales team and sales process through preparations of technical proof of concept and product demonstrations.

  • Be the technical point of contact during the pre-sales phase.

  • Work closely with customer success and product and engineering to understand product roadmap as well as customer expectations.

  • Troubleshoot, triage and “fix” the product and provide timely support to our customers

  • Work with product and engineering to ensure the product is stable, reliable and responsive.

  • Work with our customers and partner with Customer Success across product usage, adoption and best practice. 

Qualifications

So, in essence, we’re asking you to come armed with some knowledge of enterprise B2B SaaS solutions. We’re looking for someone who has some solid technical capabilities or strong foundations who is looking to grow their career and is happy with support as well as getting involved in sales support.

You’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a coding or technical application support role, ideally in cloud/ SaaS based enterprise solutions

  • Experience troubleshooting cloud/ web based software applications.

  • Technical skills/ exposure across MongoDB, JSON and JavaScript, including the ability to run database queries.

  • The ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong business sense and an understanding of enterprise business challenges.
