Laborers tasks involve physical labor at construction sites to assist with any tasks assigned. 

Duties

• Check grade
• Read grade stakes
• Use level, plane laser, and transit on a regular basis
• Use ten's tape measure throughout the day
• Safely operate jumping jack and remote control compactor
• Shovel
• Complete tasks as assigned by foreman

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old 
• Reliable attendance
• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen
• ability to communicate with foreman and co-workers in an effective and professional manner
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays as required to accommodate customer and project demands

• This job has no supervisor duties

Knowledge/Skills

• Quick Learner
• Self Starter
• Willing to follow direction as given

Language

• Must be able to communicate in English with co-workers and customers as needed.

• This job requires the ability to do and understand basic math problems

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently 
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time 

Work Environment

• Outside work exposed to various weather conditions (hot, rain, snow) and muddy grounds.
