Role: Junior Device QA Test Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, California

Pay Rate: $35/hr W2 & $40/hr C2C

Job Description:
We are seeking a Device QA Test Engineer for a contract position in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in device testing, with a focus on flashing devices, lab testing, and supporting field testing efforts for a cutting-edge Computer Vision project with Amazon. This role will involve a combination of testing in controlled environments and potentially visiting customer homes to assist with device installations.

Key Responsibilities:
Device Testing: Perform comprehensive testing of devices, including flashing firmware updates and ensuring optimal performance across different use cases.
Lab Testing: Conduct in-depth lab-based tests to verify hardware and software functionality under various controlled conditions.
Box Testing: Execute box testing procedures to evaluate the integrity and reliability of devices when shipped in retail packaging.
Field Testing: Collaborate with the field testing team on computer vision-based projects. You may be required to visit customer homes to assist with the installation and testing of devices, ensuring they perform as expected in real-world conditions.

Qualifications:
Prior experience in device QA testing, particularly flashing devices and troubleshooting issues.
Familiarity with lab testing environments, tools, and methodologies.
Basic understanding of box testing processes, focusing on packaging and transportation impacts.
Willingness to participate in field testing, including potential customer visits for device installations.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and analytical approach to testing.
