Job Description

Please note that PA Consulting operates a hybrid working policy. There will be an expectation for you to work from either a PA office and/or client location 2 x per week (based on the assumption of a 5 day working week).

As such, we are looking for exceptional Agile Delivery Consultants to join our growing team.  As an Agile Delivery Consultant, you will work as part of a team to deliver complex technology-enabled change initiatives using Agile methodologies. By providing technical delivery leadership and expertise within Agile principles, you will support our clients to apply Agile methodologies to their deliveries and be responsible for their execution.   
 
You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with innovative technologies and contemporary methodologies to deliver best in class consulting  
  • Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver solutions for our clients’ most complex problems  
  • Develop PA’s vibrant Agile community where you’ll be supported to fail fast, innovate, and develop  
  • Grow and develop professionally through support networks and participation in a wide variety of training, such as SAFe, BCS BA, and AWS  
  • Support social value and I&D initiatives throughout the year with reserved time to contribute  
  • Take opportunities to become involved at all stages in the sales lifecycle and seek to expand offerings to clients

Qualifications

You must have:  

  • Experience working within an Agile / technology delivery team (Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Product Manager etc.)  
  • Relevant consulting experience or equivalent  
  • Agile Delivery Management / Scrum Master / Product Owner or Management experience  
  • Experience of driving planning and execution of work   
  • Experience of Kanban / Scrum including estimations, burndowns, and flow   

You will also have some of the following:  

  • Able to use Agile / product backlog tools such as JIRA, Azure, or similar  
  • Experience of co-ordinating activities across multiple teams throughout the delivery lifecycle e.g. Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live  
  • Experience of developing Definition of Ready (DoRs) / Definition of Done (DoDs), and writing and quality assuring Acceptance Criteria   
  • Familiar with using risk, issue, and dependency management practices   
  • An ability to facilitate continuous improvement of Agile ways of working through retrospectives  
  • Experience of facilitating team participation in collaborative planning activities such as Programme Increment Planning  
  • A thorough understanding of different delivery models from waterfall, to iterative, to continuous delivery within high profile deliveries  
  • An understanding of Agile scaling frameworks including SAFe, LeSS, and Scrum@Scale
