Your day to day 

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be working in cloud building, deploying and managing our customers environments. You will work part of a wider PA team who are striving to successfully achieve an outcome or deliverable. 

You will have the opportunity to:

• You'll play an active role in Sprint Demos, explaining what has been implemented and how that benefits the customer and team

As part of this role you will implement ingenious cloud-enabled solutions and services for brilliant clients across industry sectors.  You will learn and grow – PA will support you to further develop your specializations and increase your certifications.  Expect a sleeves-up, fully associated, and immersive working week. Professional experience

 To be successful in this role you will need to have a mixture of experience the following areas (we don't expect you to know them all!):

Cloud providers or other virtual platforms:

• Amazon AWS
• Google Cloud Platform
• Microsoft Azure
• Vmware

Setting up cloud infrastructure in your preferred cloud/virtualized environment:

• Using IaC systems like Terraform (or cloud specific equivalent) to build out cloud platforms
• Scripting experience (e.g. Python, Node, Bash)
• Understanding of networking principles and how these are implemented
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Differences between Virtual machines and containers and how this affects networking, security and management
• Sourcing best practice articles and translating them to real deliveries

In addition to the above, we would be thrilled if you also had:

• Software development knowledge
• Database management experience
• Abilities to assist development teams to virtualize and/or containerize applications
• Security approaches for cloud-based systems
