Job Description

Our team enables our clients to accelerate project timelines through better use of data, analytics, and AI.  This will heavily focus on the use of data to make better decisions, increase effectiveness and to automate research, clinical, pharmacovigilance, and Regulatory processes. Our consultants have insight into the issues faced by clinical R&D functions and the experience to help our clients drive innovative approaches to clinical trial design and delivery. 

We are looking for a Managing Consultant to join the team at a time of exciting growth for both the Life Sciences team and the company.

As a Managing Consultant, you will be part of our leadership team, taking new service propositions to the market as well as developing new business and strong client relationships whilst leading and delivering great work.

Specifically, the Managing Consultant role covers everything from business development to leading medium-to-large/ complex assignments. This person is often the most senior person within the core project team and tends to have contact at the most senior levels in the client organization.

Overall a Managing Consultant has responsibility for the following:

  • Lead consulting projects for Life Sciences clients focused on process improvements or technology implementations
  • Provide oversight of client and work teams throughout the project lifecycle and help ensure timely execution of project deliverables
  • Facilitate engagement decisions, including work plan and timeline, project management, resource allocation, and career development of team members
  • Structure and perform analysis on regulatory-related processes, data, business requirements, operating models, IT systems
  • Manage projects related to process transformation, operational improvements, and organizational redesign

Overall a Managing Consultant has responsibility for the following:

  • Active involvement in account management with client organisations
  • Works as an assignment manager on complex/ large projects
  • Responsible for initiating and leading sales and other business development activities
  • Line management and people development responsibilities
  • Sells and operates across national boundaries bringing in PA people and/or services outside their own field of expertise.
  • Developing insightful thought leadership and helping to shape industry thinking
  • Strong consulting skills, including a high degree of communication and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Promotes a diverse and inclusive culture
  • Commercial acumen to understand requirements and formulate realistic and robust solutions while appreciating and managing risk appropriately
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues and maintaining such a network to ensure that all opportunities are developed carefully
  • Actively supporting the recruitment and development of team capabilities and talent
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams (up to 10 people) and leading multiple projects concurrently
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking, collaboration, communication skills, and cultural awareness
  • Ability to influence outcomes and communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences.

Qualifications

·        Degree-level education, in science, pharmaceutical or medical technology related field, Masters/ MBA or PhD is a plus
