Gender diversity is a serious challenge in the technology industry: women hold only 25 per cent of tech jobs. PA Women in Tech aim to increase gender diversity and inclusion within technical fields, and our Career Changers Programme aims to bring female and non-binary career changers into the firm, to train in technical fields and take on technical, client-facing project work.

This scheme provides an opportunity for female and non-binary career changers to upskill technically in Data & Analytics, joining as an Analyst, with the option to apply for a promotion within the year. This scheme is for experienced hires, and runs separately from our Graduate Scheme, to allow for:

• Focused, accelerated career progression
• Tailored support and development

We aim to build a pipeline of ambitious technical talent with established soft skills and diverse industry experience, providing training and project exposure to bridge the technical gap as they progress in their careers.

Participants will complete a month of intensive training, followed by additional training throughout the year.

• Consultancy training (as all Analyst hires receive)
• Analytics bootcamp, providing introductory workshops to the breadth of the department’s work including data visualisation, data engineering and machine learning
• A week-long practical team project, with support from the WiT team and Analytics department experts
• ‘Showcasing’ (interning) on a client-facing project

After this initial training, candidates will have the opportunity to complete further supplementary and specialised training throughout the rest of the year, with options such as Data Science Bootcamp, cloud certifications, and opportunities to work on technical Proofs of Concept. They will also be paired with a PA Women in Tech Mentor within the department to support their professional and technical growth

The decision about ‘where to work’ will be governed by ‘the work we need to do’ for our clients and in support of others in our team. For most of us, it will be a hybrid model which balances working from the client site, office and home. You’ll determine your working patterns with your assignment partner. You will be based in one of our UK offices, but you’ll usually be working side-by-side with our clients either physically or virtually. While consulting roles do require flexibility to travel within the UK, we work with individuals to make sure deployment onto assignments is done respectfully
