Job Description

We would like you to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover. Experienced and coming from a similar structured organisation, with full support from your team, you will hit the ground running and become fully immersed  with the capabilities you’ll be partnering with. You will be accountable for providing strategic HR advice and helping to plan and drive the people agenda for your respective sectors. This includes promoting a high-performance culture through your commercial advice and solutions that meet the needs of our growing business.

With strong influencing and coaching skills, you will support and coach your sector leads and line managers through change. You will also guide and coach your leads  and line managers on HR processes and policies and  be the HR lead on our performance management,    read across and promotion processes within your sectors. You will also ensure our employees and line managers are proactively focused on employee development.  Utilising your knowledge of, and relationships within your sectors and the wider HR team, you will support, enable and  drive talent and development and I&E initiatives within your sectors. You will also support the team in  developing people policies that are legally compliant and build a respectful, inclusive and diverse culture which promotes wellbeing.

Partnering with Recruitment and Talent you’ll be aware of senior level new joiners and ensure they are fully integrated into PA Consulting. You will be versed in managing  complex employee relations issues and will have bundles of experience and knowledge of employment law within  the UK. You will also be a point of escalation for our HR Advisors (and the capabilities they support) on complex HR issues.

To continue and progress with our people agenda, you will have an opportunity to lead and contribute to local and global projects. This  role will line manage and also be supported by HR Advisors to deliver a complete HR advisory service to the business

Qualifications

Experienced HR professional with an extensive generalist background, ideally gained in a fast-paced environment

A passion and commitment to providing the highest quality service in a collaborative manner

Exceptional stakeholder client relationship management

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which enable you to engage and influence senior stakeholders

Proven track record in managing performance

Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, including TUPE

Change management  skills, evidenced by examples of where you have managed change

Evidence and examples of where you have managed complex and sensitive ER cases

Excellent knowledge of HR best practices and trends, evidenced by examples of where you have utilised your knowledge to offer practical solutions

Ability to interpret data and business metrics and identity practical solutions 

Excellent understanding of  the Consulting sector

Strong coaching and management skills   

Part/fully qualified CIPD
