Job Description

The Commercial Integration Lead is a bridge between PA and acquired entities with responsibility for the commercial leadership and delivery of the joint business cases of such acquisitions globally. This means supporting the enablement of sales, revenue and managing costs and investments on a balanced basis.

The role starts in due diligence where the lead is responsible for supporting commercial due diligence and working with the M&A integration Lead on integration planning.

The majority of time will be spent after transaction close working across all of PA’s acquisitions to support maximizing the commercial outcome and working to optimize the experience of employees of both PA and acquired entity.

The role will report through the Finance function and in addition have day to day reporting lines to the Business Sponsor. The role will manage close collaboration with the core cross-functional integration team and the acquired entity.

Your day to day responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of Corporate Development during the due diligence phase so that commercial integration related matters are considered prior to acquisition
  • Work closely with the Business Sponsor during the due diligence phase to build a robust business case with a considered approach to revenue synergy realization
  • During the due diligence phase, develop a relationship with the key contacts at the target entity and ensure and thorough understanding of the business at the point of closing to enable business continuity with respect to client delivery
  • Be responsible for monitoring client contracts in flight at deal close and the transition of these to PA, for example ensuring billings continue uninterrupted and with adherence to PA policies and procedures  
  • Provide regular updates regarding the status and progress of the results relative to the initial business case to Senior Leadership with appropriate reporting tools
  • Lead regular commercial reviews, take any necessary actions to allow the business team to maximize time spent driving sales and delivering client engagements, pick up with Group Legal or other relevant Corporate Functions any matters that need addressing on prospective sales or project delivery
  • Lead commercial training for employees of acquired entities, develop training appropriate to the level of the individual and the phase of integration
  • Once the M&A Integration Lead rolls off serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for any legacy integration matter between all parties (PA and target)
  • Manage internal stakeholders to help drive revenue synergies, this will involve sales pipeline reporting, ensuring attention is focused on the most strategic opportunities and removing any blocks to seamless sales efforts
  • Facilitate the integration of the senior leadership into PA, create connections with relevant PA counterparts and support the development of joint capabilities
  • Contribute to various Finance strategy and growth initiatives 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • 3-8 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the professional services industry
  • Strong understanding of mergers & acquisitions, including the different phases of activity from identification to integration
  • Must be a strong relationship builder, outgoing, and able to effectively liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, externally and internally
  • Strong ability to use experience and analysis to gain support and influence others
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and peer management skills
  • Self-starter and highly motivated; must have intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, and passion for delivering industry best practice
  • Ability to travel, predominantly in North America, with some overseas travel as required
