Join us and work with our Application Management team to efficiently deliver full lifecycle support for PA.  Our applications support the major business processes that deal with the people, financial and project management related transactions, knowledge, business intelligence and communications across the firm. 

Our team provides an important face to the business and helps to deliver the IT services (both in terms of BAU support and wider changes that are required) to deliver a consistently great customer experience, ensuring they meet all policy and compliance requirements. 

The Application Management team also has responsibility for constant improvement – reviewing how the system design, processes and data can be optimised to make service improvements and taking a pro-active approach to lead and not just respond to business requirements.

The Software Tester role will play a key part in the team to deliver an effective and efficient service to all areas of the organisation, achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and the highest quality in client delivery. 

You will be actively involved in the full lifecycle of IT change, working on your own and with the wider team to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the business. The role will focus on ensuring the quality of the solutions that we deliver. PA’s strategy for growth means that our portfolio of work is varied in both the content and the technologies we use to deliver.

Qualifications and Experience

• ISTQB Software Testing qualification
• Experience of testing software systems, including cloud based solutions
• Understands the business process behind system transactions 
• Understands system security, roles, segregation of duties
• Challenges the solutions to ensure quality deliverables
• Track record of delivering IT support and change

• Plans and estimates work required for ensuring the quality of our solutions

• Works with diverse stakeholders and creates strong relationships with customers, within the IT function and with any delivery partners
• Translates IT concepts into business language
• Follows formal methodologies and processes with an attention to detail
• Understands the business processes and how that translates from a system perspective
• Works to deadlines and prioritizes tasks
• Takes ownership of issues through to resolution
• Understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle
