Job Description

  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s and manage performance/conduct of the Technical Setter team.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels, including holiday cover and recruitment.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of Thermoforming machines to identify/report issues and understand business impact.
  • Ensure machines run according to planned production.
  • Prepare and have tool requirements ready for the next 24 hours.
  • Support team in completing tool changes within required time frames.
  • Oversee efficient machine operations, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Manage shift operations, including break times.
  • Ensure thorough handovers between zones.
  • Attend morning meetings to report status and escalate concerns.
  • Complete safety checks before each shift.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for technical issues.
  • Organise necessary training for the Technical Setter team with the trainer.
  • Maintain the handover sheet for the next shift.
  • Conduct quality checks and enter results in Faerch QMS.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in the work area and around machines when down.
  • Adopt working practices to comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Communicate with other team leaders and personnel as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Line Managers or other Managers appropriate to the job role.

This is a permanent role; your hours of work will be av42 per week working on the rotating continental day and night shifts. (4 on 4 off 06:00 – 1800).
