Our Lady of Grace Day Care was developed with the idea of providing a faith based, quality program that is accedemicly sound.  Our Day Care facility can care for children ranging in age from 6 weeks through 5 years.

Job Description


Afternoon Toddler Teacher (12:15PM to 5:45PM) or 6:45AM to 12:15PM 

$13 per hour

Plan both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.

      Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.

      Encourage assistants to contribute to curriculum planning

      Work with staff to help coordinate special events

      Prepare weekly lesson plans and submit for director’s approval

      Complete bi-annual assessment of children’s development

      Report progress of children to parents in bi-annual reports and parent-teacher conferences

      Maintain daily open communication with parents

      Maintain confidentiality

      Report any suspect child abuse to proper authorities

      Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy

      Maintain a safe and healthy environment

      Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials

      Attend in-service training and staff meetings

      Supervise assistants and volunteers in the classroom

      Keep all appropriate records

      Meet all applicable licensing regulations

      Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications

      Other duties as assigned by the director 

Qualifications


  • At least an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field; or CDA credential (or 9 credits in a related field) with a plan leading to a CDA and 2 years’ experience relating to caring for children. AND
  • 1 year of specific training and/or experience in infant or toddler care which may be demonstrated by obtaining an Infant Toddler Child Care credential.
