Job Description


Hours: 12:15 to 5:45

$10 per hour

      Assist head of group with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.

      Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.

      Work with head of group and staff to help coordinate special events

      Provide input for bi-annual assessment of children’s development

      Maintain daily open communication with parents

      Maintain confidentiality

      Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy

      Maintain a safe and healthy environment

      Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials

      Attend in-service training and staff meetings

      Keep all appropriate records

      Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications

      Meet all applicable licensing regulations

      Other duties as assigned by the director

      Report any suspected child abuse to proper authorities

Qualifications

High School Diploma
