Job Description
As a Software Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading the modernization of systems, transitioning from legacy technologies to cutting-edge microservices architecture. Your expertise will guide the strategic transformation of business capabilities into modular, secure, and scalable microservices, using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles. You will be instrumental in ensuring that each microservice aligns with the business needs, follows a clear architecture, and integrates seamlessly into the larger system. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect to shape the future of software platforms and guide the team through a highly impactful transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Architecture Planning: Lead the transformation of legacy systems into a modern, resilient architecture. Drive the comprehensive domain analysis to identify bounded contexts and core business capabilities (such as instruments, trades, calculations, notifications, data management, and user maintenance).
Microservices Design & Implementation: Design and architect microservices using Domain-Driven Design principles, ensuring clear service boundaries, robust APIs, and proper encapsulation of business logic. Build services with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
Iterative Modernization: Employ a "strangler pattern" approach to transition from legacy Oracle stored procedures and .NET applications to Spring Boot microservices incrementally. Ensure that system stability is maintained throughout the transformation process, minimizing risk while delivering continuous value.
API-Driven Development: Champion an API-first approach to ensure that all microservices are built with well-defined, consistent, and reusable APIs that facilitate easy integration and interaction across the platform.
Security-First Design: Embed security into the architecture from the ground up, ensuring that all services and data flows meet the highest standards of security.
Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Provide guidance and mentorship to ensure adherence to architectural best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to continuously improve the architecture, focusing on performance optimization, code quality, and the adoption of best practices across the engineering team.

Solid experience with API versioning and ensuring backward compatibility.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
