Job Description

As an Engineering Team Lead, you will build and sustain a team that consistently achieves results that drive the growth of our business.  Along the way you will be challenged to be your “best self” as a leader and mentor your team members to be the best they can.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product team to define objectives and deliver key results
  • Create alignment around organizational strategy, ensuring goals are understood and achieved
  • Make delivery commitments, communicate progress, and take ownership of the outcomes
  • Support the team in meeting their commitments, ensuring code quality and reliability
  • Foster effective communication as it relates to recognition, feedback and knowledge sharing
  • Own team practices and processes, and drive their continuous improvement with data
  • Help the team make decisions in alignment with organizational goals
  • Identify and manage risk, change, and uncertainty within the team
  • Fulfill your role as a leader in the incident management and on-call processes
  • Be hands-on from a technical perspective as needed
  • Support your team members in their professional growth

Technical Skills

  • Basic computer science concepts are in your wheelhouse
  • You can demonstrate your expertise with Javascript, React, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails
  • Not only do you have experience with PostgreSQL and other SQL-based databases, you can optimize a SQL query
  • You have some hands-on experience with AWS (or other cloud services), infrastructure as code, and CI/CD
  • You understand web application security, observability, and a lot of other things about building and operating software and services

  • The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $220,000. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
