Job Description
This position works within our finance department and is an integral part of managing monthly financial statements. You will work alongside a team of like-minded individuals managing the following day to day responsibilities:
Prepare accrual basis financial statements
Reconcile cash, credit card, merchant service and other loan accounts
Provide support to the Finance team, including tax payments reconciliation, form 1099 filing, and other accounting and Tax related projects
Perform month - end close activities including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, closing schedules etc
Monitor revenue and expense reports
Support ad-hoc analysis for continuous process improvement
Support internal and external information requests, including banking, tax, and audit
Process AP/AR including making journal entries
Qualifications
2+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a SOX environment)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, etc)
Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills
Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
Results-driven individual with a team-oriented mindset
CPA/CA is a plus
Accounting ERP experience
Preferred accounting: experience in ecommerce, product companies, technology, professional service business, b2b, saas
Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivables
Quickbooks Knowledge is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
BS/MS in accounting
Experience using Office & Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
Corporate tax experience is a plus
