Job Description

As an Engineering Team Lead you will lead a team of Software Engineers in predictably delivering high-quality features and enhancements. You will work in partnership with team members across teams and departments to create an experience that delights our customers. 

What you'll do:

  • Partner with cross-functional team members to achieve business goals
  • Inspire and motivate your team
  • Manage your team in a way that sets them up for success
  • Manage projects and continuous- improvement initiatives 
  • Measure and report on your team’s success
  • Facilitate planning meetings, standups, and retrospectives
  • Address impediments or blockers escalated by the team
  • Ensure code meets product requirements and quality standards
  • Support and professionally develop team members
  • Fulfill your role in the incident response and on-call processes 
  • Be hands-on from a technical perspective as needed

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience leading teams of engineers
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting production web applications
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and other departments to achieve business goals
  • Strong track record of leading high performance teams and measuring their success
  • Familiarity with React, Ruby on Rails, AWS, or similar technologies/languages
  • Able to keep a cool head under pressure when an urgent problem arises and help bring problems into perspective for others
