Job Description

Who we are looking for:

The Solutions Director ensures consistent pre-sales technical knowledge of Optiv services/partners and recruits pre-sales technical personnel within their coverage area. This position creates value by ensuring consistent pre-sales technical excellence, customer service, and communication between pre and post-sales staff, ensuring that projects are appropriately scoped and managed to completion.

Solutions Directors benefit customers by training Solution Architects, providing clear project scope, and by ensuring quality throughout the pre-sales process. Solution Architects benefit by having a single point-of-contact to whom they can escalate concerns and questions about process, procedural, technical or account related issues.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Train Solutions Architects on Optiv service methodology and general consulting best practices.
  • Train Solutions Architects on Optiv vendor solutions and deliverables.
  • Perform semi-annual or annual reviews of the technical staff.
  • Review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Write new Solutions Architect methodologies, procedures and standards.
  • Ease transition between pre and post sales.
  • Coordinate local efforts with nationwide efforts through regular meetings with other Solutions Directors.
  • Provide an escalation point for Solutions Architect.
  • Assist with special high-level pre or post sales meetings and projects.
  • Coordinate appropriate pre-sales technical resources to ensure greater success with pre sales.

Qualifications

  • Experience in solution and services based sales through work in an Information Technology environment typically gained over 5-7 years.
  • Proven track record of achievement as a skilled systems engineer.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team and collaborate with internal and external resources.
  • Experience managing high performance teams, including goal setting, coaching, developing, delegating and accountability.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Prior management experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent.
