Job Description

Who we are looking for:

The IT System Administrator can be located in the downtown Denver Office or our Overland Park office in KS. This person will be responsible for providing IT support to our employees and systems. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate, document projects, issues, develop action plans and deliver results on time. Expert experience with numerous hardware and software platforms including but not limited to VMWare, Linux, Microsoft, Azure, AWS and Microsoft Office 365.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Effectively communicate, document projects, issues, develop action plans and deliver results on time.
  •  Diagnose and resolve complex technical Server hardware and software issues
  • Administer use, capacity and performance of server systems focusing on multiple aspects of server operations across multiple platforms (RedHat, CentOS, Windows Server)
  • Upgrade and configure server devices from multiple vendors
  • Research questions using available information for server resources
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Stay current with server system information, changes and updates
  • Evaluate and Install server software, operating systems, and miscellaneous patches using automation
  •  Monitor and Manage AWS and Azure cloud environments
  •  Assist security vulnerability assessments and remediation
  • Monitor high-availability and disaster recovery plans to maintain business continuity and SLA’s
  • Develop and Maintain scripts to automate deployment and other tasks
  •  Performs problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • B.A. or B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Skills
  • Enthusiastic, eager to learn, be taught and be resourceful
  • Experience in Windows server 2012 R2 and 2016  administration support issues, typically obtained in 5-7 years’ experience
  • Experience / Exposure to server software and related datacenter hardware: Linux, Microsoft, Active Directory, SAN, Network Appliance NAS, hardware installation, troubleshooting, Dell and HP server hardware experience
  • Experience / Exposure supporting large corporate environment
  • Technical Understanding of network protocols and services
  • Experience / Exposure to working in corporate data center environments
  • Experience supporting, patching, and upgrading Windows Servers and Linux servers using built-in and external tools
  • 7+ years of expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting system infrastructure and cloud environments
  •  Sound working knowledge of Information Security (LDAP, RBAC, Digital certificates) and Network concepts (Load balancing/ Failover, DNS, FTP, SMTP)
