Job Description

Senior Consultants have significant experience in consulting, with specific focus on understanding business drivers and risk mitigation techniques related to digital identity and data management, and demonstrate the ability to lead projects with other Consultants assigned. Senior Consultants are primarily client billable resources on client engagements and have the ability to operate with little supervisory oversight. Senior Consultants will be expected to heavily contribute to client projects and are key to client project success.

Consulting:

  • Lead day-to-day billable operations within various client projects; including:
    • Provide clients tactical and strategic education and guidance aimed at helping achieve project goals and mature security postures.
    • Independently develop robust requirements, use cases, presentations, roadmaps, and strategies related to IAM programs.
    • Educate clients on key IAM initiatives and help those clients prioritize program related activities.
    • Create and contribute to project reports, project plans, weekly status reports and other documentation as determined required for the engagement success.
  • Work with Service Delivery Manager and Project Manager to:
    • Develop and communicate client project status.
    • Set project expectations.
    • Ensure the timely delivery of all consulting work.
  • Help develop and mature client rapport through onsite and remote communications.
  • Support projects that:
    • Require on-the-fly research and process development.
    • Lie outside of core group of offerings.
  • Continuously examine skill set against changing client needs, and focus on growing those skill sets in a prioritized manner.

Internal Projects and Professional Development:

  • Support internal projects as assigned by practice leadership for the betterment and development of the practice, the solution area, and the approach to engagements.
  • Spend time as available developing skills to keep up with market demand and Optiv offerings.

Sales:

  • Assist Client Solutions Advisors in client scoping and the development of project change orders.
  • Identify up-selling opportunities within client accounts and communicate those opportunities to the Sales team and engagement leadership.
  • Communicate client concerns, questions and conflicts to Sales team and to Service Delivery Manager.

Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required. The amount of travel will be dependent on the engagement, but could be up to 75% at times.
  • 7+ years' total security and consulting experience.
  • 4+ years' IAM experience.
  • Deep understanding of IAM programmatic needs across at least 4 of the IAM pillars.
  • Expert soft skills/communication ability.
  • Expert written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive attitude demonstrated on engagements.
