Job Description

The Senior Tax Analyst, Indirect Taxes manages all aspects of indirect taxes (sales and use taxes, value-added taxes, good and services taxes, and other consumption taxes) as well as property taxes, business licenses, and other business taxes.  The ability to adapt in a versatile environment and continuously improve processes will be essential for the candidate. **Job reports to corporate office**

  • Prepare and review monthly indirect tax reports
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax returns
  • Reconcile tax general ledger accounts
  • Assist with federal, state, and foreign tax audits
  • Conduct tax research for products, customers, and new markets
  • Develop and implement process and tax software improvements to streamline tax functions
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, across functions within the finance organization and with external contacts
  • Performance with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college in Accounting, Finance or other related fields of study required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.1 to 5 years of Sales/Use tax and Property tax experience in either public accounting and/or a large corporate tax department
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environmentInternational tax experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures and sales and use tax laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel required.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical skills.
