Job Description

Optimizely is looking to hire a Head of Global Partnerships who will be responsible for leading our global alliance organization. As a leader within our go-to-market organization, you will collaborate with Optimizely’s sales, success, marketing, and product leaders to develop Optimizely’s Partner Ecosystem, GTM strategy and drive key initiatives to achieve Optimizely’s sales and customer success objectives.

This position reports to our Chief Revenue Officer.


  • Lead the activities of the global partnerships team including partner management, partner enablement, partner marketing and partner program management

  • Achieve an annual channel influenced bookings quota across North America and Europe

  • Collaborate with our customer success organization to insure our partners are aligned with Optimizely’s professional services and net retention goals

  • Collaborate with our marketing organization to increase engagement with partners through campaigns and events and to achieve Optimizely’s pipeline generation targets through co-marketing with our partners

  • Operate the Partnerships business with discipline around forecasting, consistency, and accountability for high performance

  • Lead the hiring, training, and ramping of new Partner Managers

  • Manage a team of Partner Managers responsible for acquiring partners and growing Optimizely’s book of business with agency and ISV partners

  • Coach your team to develop strategic territory and account plans and build integrated partnerships with complex organizations. Join your team on sales calls and QBRs to coach them through collaborating with executives and improving their fundamentals

  • Be the visible leader of Optimizely’s Partnerships team: maintain personal relationships at key partner accounts, speak at industry conferences, organize Optimizely partner events, etc.

  • Embody Optimizely’s cultural values and lead by example.



  • You have managed a high performing partnership, sales, or business development team for 5+ years

  • You have 10-15 years experience in partnerships, sales, and channels for a B2B technology company; experience with marketing technology and SaaS is a must.

  • You have experience selling to and building partnerships with (i) global system integrators and  (ii) digital agencies particularly in EMEA. Relevant professional connections to leading system integrators and digital agencies is an advantage

  • You work well with optimization focused solutions partners.

  • You have established successful, enterprise partnerships that were measured based on the revenue driven to both organizations

  • You have a carried a quota as both an individual contributor and a manager, with a demonstrated track record of success

  • You put the needs of customers, partners, the business, and your team above your own personal goals

  • You are entrepreneurial, able to own and develop a strategy, and not afraid to take risks

  • You can communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across global regions and departments

  • Experience conducting business internationally in Europe, Australia and Asia
