At Optimizely, the regional Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing marketing programs/activities in the region to create awareness, generate demand, accelerate pipeline and retain customers. As the Marketing representative in the DACH region, you will work closely with the regional Sales, Partners and Customer Success teams as well as with the EMEA Marketing and the Global Marketing Team in our San Francisco headquarters. You are an experienced marketer with a consistent track record in B2B Tech marketing and report to the Head of EMEA Marketing with a dotted-line to the DACH Country Manager. You will be based in our Optimizely office in Cologne or can be based from our Amsterdam office. What you’ll do
Build and maintain the regional marketing plan supporting EMEA and regional objectives and own the DACH marketing calendar.
Generate demand (leads) with EMEA build central marketing programs and local activities.
Build the brand with and for our key target audiences.
Manage the forecast and budget for the region.
Join the regional management and sales meeting for planning and alignment.
Lead region-specific marketing initiatives focused on our audiences.
Optimize our communication and localization, localize and execute integrated campaigns supporting the full customer lifecycle with focus on generating top of funnel marketing qualified leads, nurturing through funnel and up/cross-sell campaigns.
3rd party vendor management for strategic partnerships to generate demand and create awareness.
Work with the EMEA digital marketing lead for central and local programs (SEM, Paid Social, Organic Social, Display Advertising).
Plan and execute a range of events including in-house events, 3rd party conferences, seminars, webinars, both direct and collaborating with partners.
Over time work on the customer marketing program for your region for customer advocacy, hosting user groups and use the global framework for sales references.
Support the PR activities driven by our global team and the local PR agency.
Be accountable for reporting on performance metrics for all of the marketing activities in your region, including regular communication and recommendations to colleagues in Sales and Marketing.
We would love to have you regularly visit the EMEA HQ office in Amsterdam to work with the central marketing team.
- Minimum 6 years B2B marketing experience.
You have gained experience running a regional marketing function, EMEA demand generation or country-specific marketing communications preferable in a fast-growing, software/SaaS company.
Proven track record of building alignment with local sales teams and partners to drive success in your market.
Shown effectiveness in contract negotiations and vendor management.
You are passionate about customer-centric marketing.
Marketing Automation knowledge and preferably prior experience with Salesforce.com and Marketo.
Digital and social marketing knowledge / experience driving inbound marketing.
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Creative and out of the box thinking to make us move forward and grow in the DACH market
Fluent German and good English communication skills
The ability to travel 25% of the time is a must for this role
