Job Description

Optimizely seeks to hire our first Partnerships Marketing professional. This is a new position based out of our headquarters in San Francisco.  The position is a unique opportunity to work closely with our partnerships and marketing teams. It is a mix of business development and marketing. You will have an opportunity to define, develop, own, and lead this critical function within our global organization.   This will be a critical role in the context of Optimizely’s future growth with strong, executive-level visibility. The ideal candidate will have a creative attitude who wants to work with a great, fun loving team of professionals and help drive Optimizely to their next level of growth and IPO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with key platform partners to align messaging for integrated solutions

  • Work with both senior level and tactical alliance professionals in leading SaaS ISVs to create and build an effective go to market/marketing strategy

  • Design and execute key joint marketing plans with important platform-based ISVs

  • Team up with with partners on key events

  • Help teams align at a field level to drive tactical, territory and deal level collaboration

  • Be a key spokesperson at both industry and partner events

  • Be a strong presence with Optimizely internal executive and marketing/sales management



  • 8+ years of software industry experience

  • 3-5 years experience in B2B partner related marketing and/or business development

  • Has worked in association with large software partner programs for “stack partners” that go to market to Martech, Product or Developer/Dev Ops-centric buyers

  • Well documented, result oriented experience with marketing campaigns; working with small and large ISVs to leverage campaigns and drive revenue

  • Working knowledge of martech and product development stack at the technology level is desired

  • Collaborative leadership skills

  • A strong analytical mindset and the ability to leverage data to drive effective decision making

  • Ability to work closely with both marketing, sales and product management teams
