Job Description

Optimizely is seeking a Senior Manager, Partnerships who will be responsible for growing key relationships and sales with a portfolio of strategic solutions partners. The role will manage the day to day relationship between Optimizely and its solutions partners and will focus on growing partners &; optimization practices and driving sales for Optimizely and partners.  Successful candidates have a strong understanding of digital marketing technology, digital advertising technology, digital agencies and consultancies, and channel ecosystems, and are passionate about helping partners achieve success.  This position has the option to be based in New York and will report to the VP of Partnerships.

About the Job:

  • Work with top Solutions Partners to continually improve their optimization practice, grow their portfolio of customers, drive expansion opportunities, and manage and grow the partnership
  • Manage your pipeline and generate leads for our direct sales team and for the partners
  • Build strong relationships with the Sales and Success org to encourage prospective customers and current customers to use a Solutions Partner for optimization services
  • Develop success plans to ensure agency wide adoption and expansion of Optimizely to the partners end clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to grow Channels for Optimizely: Sales, Marketing, Success, Product, Legal
  • Develop partnerships with Global Systems Integrators
  • Become an expert on the Optimizely platform, optimization best practices, complementary marketing technologies, product roadmap and company vision




  • 10 years of relevant sales, business development, or partner experience at a SaaS company; previous experience working with digital agencies and consultancies
  • Ability to grow sustainable channel partnerships through account planning, strong pipeline management, strong relationship management and business development skills
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape and strong technical foundation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills, with an ability to speak fluently to high level executives/C-Suite and daily practitioners and run effective meetings
  • Consultative sales skills
  • Previous experience working with digital agencies and consultancies
  • High-level of business acumen
  • Demonstrated success managing executive relationships with partners and customers
  • Ability to set clear targets and develop plans and objectives to achieve those targets
  • Must be motivated, goal oriented, and able to work independently
  • Ability to succeed working cross-functionally with direct sales, marketing, product and customer success teams
  • Joint account planning with internal account teams and solutions partner teams
  • Strong Quarterly Business Reviews with partners
  • 30% travel requirement
