Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Marketing Specialist (10-month contract) to support the demand generation and field marketing teams at Optimizely. You will be an essential member of this nimble and fast-paced marketing team. You are meticulous and ultra-attentive to detail. You love managing simultaneous large-scale (and smaller scale) projects, seeing them to fruition, and creating customer experiences that are memorable and one of a kind. You are a team player who is ready to make an impact quickly and roll up your sleeves to help accomplish whatever is needed. Lastly, you are data-driven and rely on metrics to make decisions.

This role can be remote for the right candidate, but candidate must be able to come to the Optimizely office in downtown San Francisco for key meetings and events. Bay Area candidates preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage marketing projects and timelines, including ticket creation, execution, and tracking using Jira Software

  • Evaluate third-party media vendors and event partners based on target personas, budgets, and quarterly business goals, and make vendor recommendations to the team

  • Create compelling landing pages with an emphasis on SEO keywords using Contentful, our content management platform, and support website updates to drive conversions

  • Help increase the efficiency and impact of our paid media efforts by managing creative assets and copy variations, in conjunction with our paid media agency

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of North America Field Marketing programs, as well as important program elements, including research, budget, messaging, reporting, swag, and follow-up

  • Assist with forecasting, measuring, and tracking the impact of marketing programs to show the effectiveness of marketing spend on leads and pipeline per region

  • Help manage the North America marketing calendar and content repository, including corporate, customer, and partner programs, as appropriate

  • Work with the Marketing Operations team on data entry, list management, and reporting

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing campaigns, field marketing, project management, or related field

  • Willingness to travel to various locations for events; up to 15%

  • Experience with and/or comfortable learning marketing automation (Marketo), CRM (Salesforce.com), project management tools (Jira), and important marketing tools (Contentful, GSuite)

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with focused attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, strong analytical and communication skills, a natural team player

  • Ability to work on large detailed projects to tight timelines and respond positively under time pressures and uncertainty

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to earn the trust and respect from the various teams you’ll be working with

  • Superior command of written and spoken English; the ability to write original content
