As the Sr. Marketing Manager of customer events at Optimizely, you will be responsible for building a community of digital professionals, for delivering exceptional value to our attendees, for managing a $2.5 million customer event budget, and for creating a seamless and impactful attendee experience. If you are obsessed about building a movement, passionate about designing experiences, and a huge fan of collaborating with departments across all functions, you are the right candidate.
Manage end-to-end execution of our user conference with full support from an events agency
Work with product marketing to deliver relevant and applicable content that is both engaging and valuable to our attendees
Enable our sales and customer success teams to drive attendance, momentum, and results across the business
Raise sponsorships and help build out a partner ecosystem in coordination with our partnerships team
Leverage our communication teams and channels to build excitement around our conference
Manage the budget, purchase orders, contracts, and invoicing process with our finance team
Ideate and deliver an elevated brand experience with our creative team
Strategize with c-level executives on our keynote and VIP selections
Enable regional leaders to run user groups throughout the year
Work with Customer Success to run customer and executive advisory boards
6+ years of managing large-scale marketing programs (large event or field programs a plus)
Strong skills in organizational and project management
Ability to work with multiple departments across functions and levels
Systems and process oriented
Strong skills in budget management
Ability to see the big picture, but also able to be incredibly detail-oriented
Basic proficiency in Google Docs and Salesforce (or equivalents)
