Job Description

The Procurement Operations Associate collaborates with internal clients to execute procurement operations such as requisition processing. This role will work closely with operational stakeholders of all levels including close collaboration with the FP&A, Accounting and Legal teams. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience covering the entire purchase order (PO) lifecycle and to be a key member of a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have sound business judgment, and be customer-focused. This role will report to the Procurement Manager.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact for the procurement operations process, including, but not limited to: vendor onboarding, review of purchase requisitions.

  • Collaborate with business partners (including stakeholders, accounts payable etc) across the organization to help ensure purchasing transactions are in compliance with the Purchasing Policy.

  • Assist in the continuous improvement of the purchasing function and the management of transactional activities (ie. training, reporting, communication, etc.)

  • Solves routine problems largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines

  • Interacts within own team and with direct supervisor. Receives moderate level of instruction on daily work tasks and new assignments

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a buyer / procurement operations / accounts payable role

  • Demonstrate business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Experience with JIRA, Google, Netsuite a plus.

  • Demonstrated flexibility in a fast-paced environment -- willing to learn, prioritize requests and collaborate w/ multiple stakeholders.

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree.

  • Position will require passing a Background Check.
