The Optimizely ‘Technical Architect’ will be a strategic member of our North America sales team, responsible for communicating how Optimizely Full Stack fits into digital or development process transformation and experimentation initiatives for our prospective customers.
In this role, you will be tied to the acquisition of new successful customers and will support our Sales and Solutions Engineering team on strategic sales opportunities in North America.
A passion for sales and business strategy is a must as you will work closely with sales leadership, product marketing, and product management to help define and execute our technical sales and marketing strategies.
What you’ll do:
Work directly with our core ‘Solutions Engineering’ team to support strategic deals and complex sales cycles - directly tied to revenue.
Work with our Product Marketing, Product Management, and Enablement teams - influencing our go-to-market strategy for Full Stack.
Communicate technical decisions to non-technical audiences and build consensus around them
Articulate the value of Optimizely Full Stack to technical business executives
Lead and facilitate ‘Solution Workshops' with CxO and engineering audiences
Lead and facilitate whiteboard sessions with key technical and business stakeholders
Lead thought leadership webinars and virtual sessions
Serve as a ‘Full Stack’ and a broader ‘Software Development Practice’ subject matter expert for our sales organizations
Ideal Experience and Motivation:
Working directly with ‘Large Enterprise’(Fortune 1000) in a customer facing capacity in North America
Experience working in a top-tier technical consulting or software development capacity
Strong drive to solve customer problems and drive projects end to end from ideation to deployment
Balance of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high-level technical solutions to business problems and to tie your solutions to program success criteria
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to create clear observations, analysis and conclusions based on customer interviews and data
Excellent customer facing skills with experience presenting to and achieving buy-in from senior executives (managers, directors, VPs, CTOs, and CXOs)
Outstanding communications skills both oral and written (e.g., Powerpoint)
Team player who can collaborate with multiple stakeholders to arrive at the best solution
High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies in a wide variety of disciplines
What you’ll need to be successful:
Delivery infrastructure buildout (e.g., CI, deployment orchestration, observability, and A/B test infrastructure)
Development practices and workflows
Feature Flag methodologies
Modern data architectures (e.g., event driven architectures, stream processing, and integrating real-time analytics into customer applications)
SDLC and enterprise architecture expertise w/ modern development technologies
Guiding teams in addressing the technical and delivery challenges in migrating away from monolithic systems to a modern services architecture, ideally in a consulting capacity
Provide hands-on guidance to teams with an emphasis on strong layering and isolation practices and effective test strategies
Hands on experience developing server-side and mobile applications a plus
